Tools for Schools
With your students relying heavily on the internet in both their personal and academic lives, they are truly ‘digital natives’. At Get Safe Online, we applaud the wealth of information and opportunities afforded to young people by the internet, and as the premier source of online safety information and advice in the UK, it’s our mission to support them and their families in going online with safety and confidence.
The students in your school are generally far more familiar with the internet than their parents and grandparents, but they may well not have the life experience required to navigate it without issues, and the resulting consequences.
Introducing the Get Safe Online Virtual Schoolbag, a package of information and advice leaflets for parents, guardians, carers and teaching staff detailing commonplace issues that students may encounter online, how to spot them and how to deal with them. The Virtual Schoolbag also contains leaflets on protecting your school against online harms such as fraud, hacking and ransomware.
The leaflets can be either shared with families and staff members digitally (such as by email, WhatsApp groups or school-parent communication platforms), or printed off as required. You can purchase them online via our eCommerce platform individually, or as a discounted package.
