Announcing the move, publisher OP Productions announced: "We have discovered that hackers gained access to our forum and game databases and the player data in those databases. We have launched a thorough investigation covering our entire system to determine the scope of the intrusion. This investigation is ongoing and is our top priority."

The compromised user information includes login email addresses for the official forums and the game itself, along with the encrypted passwords associated with those addresses. However, OP Productions has said that no user payment information was obtained, as payments are handled by a totally separate, third party company.

However, it is possible that the stolen encrypted passwords to be decrypted. If gamers use the same email address and password for other internet accounts such as banking and shopping – which many people do – hackers (or other criminals they sell stolen data to) could access these other accounts with ease.

No information has been given regarding when the game will come back online.
