Microsoft's updates, issued yesterday on the traditional 'Patch Tuesday', include a fix of a problem of the company's own making … where a patch issued earlier this month caused some users' computers to 'blue screen' (go blank).
Oracle's update to its Java software – also issued yesterday – addresses a large proportion of the well-publicised vulnerabilities which have allowed many large organisations' systems to be hacked into of late.
