A Manchester man has been arrested after it is claimed that he revealed the identity of the alleged victim of Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell in a Facebook post.
Greater Manchester Police arrested the 43-year-old from the city's Trafford area over a Facebook post about the actor's trial at Manchester Crown Court.
Mr Le Vell (real name Michael Turner), 48, denies 12 charges – including five of rape. The soap star has played garage mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV1 series for 30 years.
Victims in sex abuse cases are granted anonymity for life.
This is not the first incident in which the actor's alleged victim has been named on social networking sites. A 28 year-old man was interviewed on Thursday under caution in relation to a tweet, and a 43 year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on Wednesday for a similar offence.
