If you click on an eCard and get directed to a Valentines 'card site that asks you to update your Flash player or perform some other operation, do not do it. There is every chance that you will be installing a virus or trojan on your computer rather than performing an update on a necessary program.
Another safety rule: If the email message does not tell you who sent the e-card, do not risk opening it.
