With the festive season over for another year and everyone busily using their new (and existing) smartphones and tablets, it’s a good time to think about apps … and specifically how you and your family download and use them.
The latest widely-available figures for the number of apps, from March 2017, read like this:
– Google Play (apps for Android): 2.8 million apps available for downloading
– App Store (apps for Apple iOS): 2.2 million apps available for downloading
As if that weren’t enough to choose from, we know that these figures have increased considerably almost a year later.
With so much variety across so many functions and interest groups, it’s essential that you’re savvy about the apps you download to ensure you that you use them safely and responsibly.
